Nile Perch Fisheries Limited is a European Union Approved processing (EU Approval No. 208) plant having a working quality control system in place. It has also registered its premises with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the USA and with the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS)

The Food Safety System of the company (HACCP) is certified for ISO22000: 2018 standard as well as BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 8, giving us global competence.

High-quality products processed according to the strictest international specifications ensure that all the food safety hygiene principles and customer requirements are met.

Nile Perch Fisheries Limited understands that Lake Victoria’s fisheries provide a vital source of food, employment, recreation, trade, and economic well-being for the people of Tanzania and also the world, both for present and future generations.

We as users of this unique gift of nature have the obligation to do so in a responsible and sustainable manner as seen
from the ecological, social, and economical dimensions.

To achieve this we work hand in hand with our fish suppliers, fishermen, Beach Management Units (BMUs), Regulatory Authorities and our Association TIFPA (Tanzania Industrial Fishing Processors Association) to ensure sustainable fishing practices.


In order to prove our commitment towards the Sustainability of Lake Victoria Perch, we went one step further and got our supply chain in the Mwanza region certified to Friend Of The Sea Sustainable Capture Fishery Standards.


Friend of the Sea is the only sustainable fisheries certification process recognized and supervised globally by a National Accreditation Body (World Sustainability Organization).


To instill the essence of Sustainability among our fisher folk, we extended the motto
“SAVE OUR LAKE FOR OUR CHILDREN”
